The children have been taking part in a 'Talking Table' activity. This involves a group discussion about 'Who' (characters), 'Where' (setting) and 'What' (the story content). After the discussion soft music is played, candles are lit and quietly they draw their own part of the story. After the pictures are created the children talk about their ideas and the story begins to be created. For the F2's the story is developed by discussing story openings, connectives to join the story elements and the ending. A completed story is available for you to look at in the classroom. This paticular story was linked by the children to the Chinese New Year.
